He has a new series, but Michael Trucco is keeping his routes in Vancouver, and possibly in something else that starts with a “V” — or should we say, only has a “V.”
Trucco, who played Sam Anders (and a member of the Final Five) in Syfy’s “Battlestar Galactica,” could be doing an encore of his one-episode guest stint last season on ABC’s “V” playing the much-talked-about John May.
Trucco’s appearance would be rather interesting — and possibly a bit confusing — especially since May was said to be dead at the hands of Ryan Nichols, played by Morris Chestnut. However, Trucco told TV Guide that he could indeed be coming back, and coming back soon.
“That’s what they hinted to me,” Trucco said. “I thought, ‘OK, he’s dead, but he’s coming back?” They’re like, ‘Nope, he’s dead.’ I wrote that off as a one-off [appearance], but they made some indication that maybe he’d come back.”
Of course, there are several possibilities on how that could happen outside of the cliche back-from-the-dead angle used too much in science-fiction and soap operas. Trucco could appear in a new flashback, or it’s possible that a Visitor could be made up to look like him. Or he could be simply a mental manifestation.
No matter how it’s done, it’s likely Trucco will only be back for a single episode, two tops. Trucco has signed on for the new USA network series “Facing Kate” alongside some other recognizable alums including Richard Dean Anderson from “Stargate SG-1″ fame.
Both “Facing Kate” and “V” film in Vancouver, so Trucco wouldn’t have to go far to make a guest appearance. Either way, it will be interesting to see if John May really does live.
